cny & family
WOW! i'm having such a great time at home! it's the only place where i can peacefully get 10 hours of sleep and then wake up to a great day not worrying about anything. =
first day of cny was super! a lot of relatives came to my house, just like every year, so it's like prosperity coming to your doorstep.haha. anyway, i'm really glad and happy to see all my cousins and relatives again.
today, my family went to visit some family friends that used to stay together with my dad during his younger days at the old 'Swiss Confectionery' shoplot. i just found out today it wasn't only my dad's family that was staying there but 2 families all under the same roof! visitors from the same chinese clan do drop by once a while too during their travels. well, there was this elderly man, together with his wife, who was so overjoyed to see my dad coz they used to talk a lot during those days. he was very emotional..i could see his eyes swelling up with tears. i am moved by what i saw. really, i think i'll feel the same too when you see someone again after >10-20 years. i wonder how many people will share such bonds with me, bonds that'll drive you to tears during such meetings, in the years to come.
dinner today was great too, coz i get to see my god-sister! haha, my cousin had some misunderstanding earlier on, so she wasn't in good mood. however, something that she said made me think again..
if someone were to tell you,"it's difficult to explain, you won't understand"...
i think again and ask, "...but did you at least try explaining? so that i might understand better?"
also during dinner, i coined another phrase:
yu sang(yu sheng) is nice to eat,
but it's best when taken with your family and loved ones
watched the movie sixth day also...it's about cloning. the movie outlined many arguments for and against cloning technology. quite useful for gp.

p/s: i learnt how to make a coat for a strawberry. all you need is a base layer of white chocolate then followed by design using dark chocolate. =)
